My Shocking Problem… Finale!

So by the amount of people emailing me you are all pretty interested in whats happening with this whole situation between Geoff, the company Shocker Toys and myself. Well here is the last chapter, I hope, to this gripping tale.

So as most know Geoff was served at Comic-Con with the court date being set for tomorrow, September 8th. I personally hate the court system due circumstances and instances I have seen it in action (but that’s another story) but I saw the court as the only feasible way to get Geoff’s attention at the time. After Geoff was served, I let him know that I wanted to talk to him and see if we can settle this without having to go to court and deal with everything that it entails. Geoff agreed and we came upon an understanding and an agreed amount that was only fair.

Geoff let me know that it would be a little while till after the con and I said that was fine as money doesn’t come out of thin air for anybody. I did not hear from Geoff for a little while (month or so) and contacted him a little worried and got a reply this week stating that he dropped the ball a bit as well as the fact that hurricane Irene had kept him recently without power and has done property damage as well(which is unfortunate for him and many of my friends that live on the east coast).

We still had the same agreement as before, and as of today, paper work has been signed, money has exchanged hands and all is now right between us. I would like to again thank all of my fans that made me realize this was something I had to keep pursuing, all of my clients for being so understanding of my time being spent elsewhere, and to Unscrewed Comics for giving me much needed advice when I had questions. I would also like to again thank Geoff for admitting fault and manning up as a professional and settling our dispute in a friendly and open way. Best of luck in your future Geoff.

I am really glad you got paid!

Congrats on doing the right thing, Geoff. Keep it up and produce the toys people paid you for, without anymore lies and delays.

    Congrats, Tony!

Wow. its about time this came to a conclusion. I can only imagine the stress it put you through and for all your customers (fans). Maybe now you can finally fulfill your orders without anymore delays (I mean that in a good way ;-) ). Waiting for over a year for a 3 month project really is frustrating. I was temped of pulling out and asking for my deposit back, but in the end it is understandable as you had way more important matters to take care of. I am just happy for you that things turned out for the better for you and you finally got paid for your work. Congrats to you Tony.

Thanks John. An most definitely. This past year has been hell and back with so much going but I am glad most everything is coming to a close and I can move forward. It's understanding clients like you that have made this slightly less hellish than it could have potentially been and I do sincerely appreciate it. Samus, among others, are on the work bench this week just so you know. I'll email you with all the details as well as update the blog with more progress shots by weeks end.
